Online Work at Home Jobs and Home Based Freelance Job Center

Most of the time, I find that there is no one way that is a perfect fit for everyone when it comes to deciding what job types they think they can do at home.

The most logical method is to simply spend a little time online, doing general searches for other people who are working at home, see what kind of jobs they are doing, identify an idea that is based on your current job or skill set, and adapt that idea to your own interest, skills, and ability.

All too often, we tend to look outside of our current job environment and meet with frustration because we cannot come up with a suitable idea for finding or creating a work at home job.

But working at home takes creativity in large amounts, so don't fall into the self-imposed trap of wondering how you are going to have time and money to learn a completely new trade, skill, or complete a degree before you can start working from your home.

Instead, take a good hard look inside your current situation.

Think about what skills you currently use in your existing job function, or may have used in the past. If you currently work in the billing department, and have a good head for numbers, you most likely already have the hands-on skills you need to perform a number of administrative, accounting, bookkeeping, and general assistant duties, as so many of these job functions can overlap, generally speaking.

Another important point to remember is that some jobs are just better suited to be performed from your home than others.

Sell on eBay and Other Online Auctions

If you like garage sales, resell shops, flea markets, or estate sales, chances are that you will LOVE shopping on eBay!

And that is how I first started selling on eBay -- by shopping on eBay -- and you'll find that is the case with most registered eBay sellers now.

So if you've never spent any time on eBay, do it now! (Might want to pour yourself a cup of coffee and relax, it's addictive!)

eBay selling can be done at any time, place, or on any day of the week. All it takes is an internet connection to your PC, and the desire to work from home (and who wouldn't want to work at home?)

Selling on eBay  and other online auctions has become a hugely popular way for stay at home moms to earn a little extra income, and many moms earn a substantial income from their auction sales.

You can start by just looking around your house at items you don't want or need anymore (my favorite items to sell are infant/children clothing, and they sell *very* well!)

Think in terms of having a garage sale. Items that you might consider selling in a garage sale may be just the things to get started with on eBay.

I had a bag of clothes that my then-toddler son had outgrown, and they were just sitting in the bottom of a closet until I had "time" to have a garage sale. The bag had 6 short-alls, 2 pairs of jeans, and 8 tee-shirts, all used, but all in good shape without holes or stains, and very cute. Rather than place each item up for bids in separate auctions, I thought I would save some time and list the entire bag as a "lot", and placed them all in one auction.

I didn't expect to get much for a bag of used clothing, not even designer clothing, just regular items you'd get from Wal-Mart. I was completely surprised when that bag of baby boy's clothing snagged a final bid of more than $75.00, way more than I could have ever expected to get from a garage sale on the same items!

I've done the same thing over and over -- put something up for auction, and been totally surprised at how much someone was willing to pay for it. I've sold everything from baby clothing and accessories to high-end jewelry and even vehicles!

Yes, there are things that successful sellers need to know before jumping in, but the hardest (and most expensive!) work has already been done. eBay and other online auctions provide a venue, spend millions on marketing, divide items into categories and sub-categories, and sub-sub- you get the idea -- talk about targeted traffic! We don't have to pay advertising and marketing fees to get someone to come and buy our antiques, because antique collectors log on to eBay every single day looking for those items! They come to us! How great is that?

So how much can you earn? How much do you want to earn? How many hours a week do you want to work (or not!)? I earn an easy $1,000 a month on average, without trying too hard. Usually I can earn more if I feel I want to have a little extra cash that month. Obviously, when I sell the high ticket items (like a 2ct diamond solitaire ring that I sold for $600 more than I paid for it!) the revenue adds up really quickly.

By creating a website that gives detailed information centered around one particular theme or topic, you could generate many streams of revenue from just that one website. All it takes is a good eye for design, knowledge of website design software and how to create your website, and creativity. Read on for some ideas to help you get going!

The better the information on your website pertaining to your topic, the more traffic you are likely to generate, and the better you promote the products, the more people are likely to click on those links leading to the product and hopefully will find them useful enough to purchase.

The really nice thing about joining an affiliate program like CJ is that you don't have to do anything but work on your website creating fresh and useful content. The merchant whose product or service your have chosen to promote is responsible for delivering directly to the customer, and you have no input at all. You don't have to deal with customers, shipping and delivery, returns, etc...all you have to do is concentrate on building the best website that you can, and provide solid resources and information to your visitors.

There are literally hundreds of well-known merchants in these categories, which allows you to pick and choose.

To begin, simply register for a free account, choose the products, services, or companies that are relevant to your website's theme, or might be useful to your visitors, and you can then sell advertising space and generate income from your website.

If you are experienced, you can register and apply for verified work-at-home jobs & freelance projects in your field.

You can also create enough high-quality informational material on your chosen topic that other webmasters who have websites with themes related to yours will want to link to your website, which provides you with another source of traffic in addition to higher search engine rankings.

Another benefit of having other websites linking to yours is that when advertisers see your increasing traffic, they will want to purchase advertising space on your website.

If you have your own products or services to sell, you can not only sell them through your website, but also consider placing your items up for sale on eBay and other online auctions.
